E3 2012: Dead Space 3 Cooperative Gameplay Confirmed

Today as E3 kicks off with a megaton of press conferences, gaming news and updates, EA has stepped up to the plate at their latest press conference to announce the new cooperative mode coming to Dead Space 3. The feature which is a first for the series will be a drop-in/drop-out co-op mode where players can sync up to experience the horrific frights of Dead Space 3 together during the games campaign.

Isaac will now be joined by John Carver, a new character playable to the Dead Space universe. Dead Space 3 finds our series protagonist crash-landed on on Tau Volantis, an icy planet where not even the cold elements can keep the necromorphs away. Discovering that Tau Volantis could very well be the key to ultimately extinguishing the Necromorphs for good, Isaac along with John Carver will battle subzero temperatures in icy climate conditions, new larger than life bosses as well as the Necromorph horde.

Dead Space 3 launches next year February 2013. We’ll have more on Dead Space 3 from EA during the expo.
