*Updated: Last we posted an update on the new Android-based console OUYA, we stated that the project was looking for funding via Kickstarter and at the time which you can read below there were 974 people currently supporting the project with over $140,000 towards the goal of $950,000, with 29 days to go for funding. Well, since then and in less than 24 hrs the support for OUYA has been out of control as the $950,000 goal has been met and counting…… Almost every time I personally refreshed the OUYA kickstarter page the pledges just kept going up. With another 29 days to go, we can only imagine where the pledges will end up.

It looks like the OUYA revolution will be TELEVISED!

The new and extremely affordable, “hackable” Android-based console that everyone is talking about called OUYA now has a Kickstarter project. Currently in the works from Muffi Ghadiali, Yves Behar and Ed Fries, the team behind OUYA are looking for funding to help finance this ambitious project. With currently 974 people currently supporting the project with over $140,000 towards the goal of $950,000, there are 29 days to go for funding.
