Sony Wants Microsoft To Make The First Move Announcing Their Next-Gen Hardware

With rumors running wild across the net with speculative stories relating to next-generation hardware from Sony and Microsoft, both manufacturers have been tight lipped playing their strategies very close to the chest. However, Sony CEO Kaz Hirai has made mention that his camp will let Microsoft make the first move in announcing their next-gen hardware.

Speaking recently to The Times, Hirai stated;

“Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?”

Of course at this late stage in the hardware development department for next -gen, no major hardware changes could be made to counter the competition. Hirai’s words should be understanding in line with Sony wanting nothing to thwart their initial announcement thunder for their new system. This critic would assume Microsoft would have the same sentiment if given the option to have it their way….maybe.

One thing is certain from the Sony CEO statement, this indirect response referencing next-gen hardware from Sony is a obvious indicator that next-gen hardware is just around the corner.
