Upcoming PS4 Updates Enhancing Share Feature with 720p Broadcasting, Archiving and HDCP off for HDMI Gameplay Capture

Share-ButtonSince the launch of the PS4 users have been making their presence felt with requests for additional updates all in hopes of further bettering the PS4 experience. Now PS4 users can expect some of these requests to be met as Sony offers some intel on the upcoming updates.

According to the official Playstation blog the  upcoming update will add a rich video editor with a simple tool to personalize your video clips, and you’ll also be able to export to and save the videos and screenshots you create by pressing the SHARE button to a USB drive. In addition, this update will add an HDCP off option for capturing gameplay via HDMI enabling users to record and share longer clips of their gameplay sessions.

With the launch of the Titanfall, Xbox One users are now been able to broadcast gameplay footage via Twitch at 720p resolution, so as part of a separate system software update in the future, Sony is also working with Twitch and Ustream to provide the ability for Twitch broadcasts to be archived with  broadcasts provided with a higher resolution of 720p.

Competition is always a good thing for the gamer.
