So far Sony has only offered their Private Beta for Playstation Now to PS3 users and beginning tomorrow May 20, PS4 users who have already signed up to test the new service will be able to jump in with an expected email update receiving a voucher code.
At the moment the PS Now service gives users the freedom to play select PS3 games like you already stream movies, TV, shows, and music. Eventually the service will enable game streaming directly to your favorite PS Now compatible devices without any discs or downloads. The first supported devices launching in 2014 are PS4, PS3, select 2014 Bravia TVs, and PlayStation Vita, with more devices down the road.
According to Sony the Private Beta testers have logged more than 50,000 gameplay hours discovering new games, rediscovering favorites and racking up Trophies. After the Private Beta takes flight on the PS4 we’re expecting to see and update to experience the service in Beta from on the PS Vita before its 2014 Summer release.
Sony also announces that access to even more PS3 games via the Private Beta program will expand to an even broader audience in the near future.
