Playstation users will be able to quickly access an expanding library of PS3 games from Sony’s cloud servers. Launching today for all PS4 users, the PS NOW service will be in Open Beta launching first in the U.S. and Canada.
Starting out PS NOW will offer a variety of games ranging from God of War Ascension, Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Darksiders series, Twisted Metal and Dead Rising 2 Off the Record with a library of over 100 titles to rent. At the moment there are no buying option with PS NOW however, Sony according to their latest PS NOW walkthrough video, hinted at being in the process of ironing out a favorable subscription option as Playstation fans have been pushing this point loud and clear.
This is game streaming, so the more stable your internet connection the better your game streaming experience. While the service does hold strong via a wifi connection, it is recommended that users are broadband connected with a wired connection for more stable gameplay.
