Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Has Been Confirmed For PS3 and Xbox 360 with Less Additions, Obviously

It has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will in fact be making its way to the PS3 and Xbox  360. According to the Activision blog, community manager Scott Lowe explained, “there are still some fans that haven’t made the transition to the new console hardware, which is why we’re happy to share that we’re working with developers Beenox and Mercenary Technology on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.”

As expected the experience across last-gen and current-gen platforms will see contrast and not just visually as Lowe explains;

“For instance, the campaign mode on Xbox 360 and PS3 is currently in development with a goal of enabling two-player cooperative play, instead of the four-player cooperative campaign on next-gen. There will also be some other features and functionality built specifically for the new generation of consoles that cannot be supported on Xbox 360 and PS3.”

In addition, only PS4, Xbox One and PC users will be able to participate in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta.

As far as the release date goes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will release simultaneously for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on November 6.
