Polyphony Digital has announced that Gran Turismo Sport, which is in development exclusively for the PS4 has been delayed until 2017.
Founder of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi announced this latest update via the official PlayStation Blog, stating, “we realize we need more time to perfect GT Sport, which we’ve already dedicated so much effort towards since announcing the title. We do not want to compromise the experience in any way. While we cannot confirm a new release date at this time, we are more committed than ever to making GT Sport the best Gran Turismo game to date.”
With an original launch date set for November 15 in the US and Japan, followed by an Australia launch on November 16 and November 18 launch in the UK, fans will now have to wait for a new official launch window.
Gran Turismo Sport is being primed as the first racing simulator to truly take advantage of the PS4 hardware, while offering over 130 and cars 19 fully fleshed out tracks, as well as the much talked about new photo mode known as Scapes, expected to showcase racing images at 4K resolution.
