505 Games and developer Roll7, you know guys and gals that brought us OlliOlli and NOT A HERO, they are launching a closed beta program for their upcoming online multiplayer Laser League beginning Friday, Dec. 15 and running through Sunday, Dec. 17. A new video was released today, providing tips and tricks on how to rise up the leaderboard. We recommend watch the entire tutorial trailer as it thoroughly explains the rules of engagement.
Laser League is unlike anything we’ve played before. The easy to pick up experience starts as a simple test of your reflexes, but becomes a strategic showdown with deep team tactics. As you advance, players can master and combine unique class abilities with their teammates, dominate the pitch by commandeering brightly colored laser nodes to eliminate opponents, and claim their place on the podium as thousands of fans cheer from the stands of neon-lit stadiums.
The Laser League closed beta will allow players to experience a sneak peek of new content, including never-before-seen maps and party play, which will be available in the game once it reaches Early Access on Steam in early 2018. During this period, select players will have an exclusive opportunity to compete on teams in intense 3v3 matches on a selection of Laser League’s future available maps, as 505 Games and Roll7 analyze and work on servers, matches and player performance with the goal of obtaining valuable feedback and insight from gameplay to be implemented in the development process.
Players participating in this beta test may experience latency and server complications and may also be exposed to content and features that may be modified or removed from the final version of the game. Players can sign up now at http://www.laserleaguegame.com/ for the chance to be part of the Laser League beta. To enter the game, invited players can redeem their keys immediately via their Steam account but cannot log in until servers are live on Friday, Dec. 15.
