SEGA has released the demo for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life onto the PlayStation Store – the Yakuza 6 Prologue Demo offers players with a glimpse into the life of Kiryu. With gameplay sequences consisting of working out at the RIZAP gym and crushing skulls as Kiryu, players will should also have aa blast taking in-game selfies.
Thankfully, your demo progress automatically transfers over to the full game upon purchase, including story progress, Substory progress, all EXP and stat gains, and full inventory. However, if you were expecting to rack up on some cool trophies within the demo, you might be disappointed as no trophies can be earned in the demo.
As far as the games overall narrative, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, player playing as Kiryu will investigate a series of “shadowy events” involving those he holds dear. Locations include Kamurocho and the new setting of Onomichi which is a port town in Hiroshima Prefecture.

Yakuza 6 is the final chapter in the tale of Kazuma Kiryu, and the first in the series to be developed from the ground up for PS4 using the Dragon Engine. The full game launches on April 17, 2018.
