After all the debate concerning with version of Cryteks latest shooter will look the best, it seems the majority of the gaming consumers took the side of the Xbox 360 version of the game with dominating sales in the UK. The Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 took the lions share with 57% of the total sales in the game’s first weekend at UK retail. This is according to data assessed from GfK-ChartTrack.
Not to be completely outdone the PS3 sales accounted for 29% while the PC sales took up some 14%.
Despite all the talk from PC loyalists about the games obvious PC graphical advantages over the console, financially Crytek knows where their bread will be buttered as the market is currently dominated by the console marketshare. Expect to see more PC developers jump to consoles with eye-popping titles as well.
