If you’re like us and you’re beyond excited for next years latest installment of Deus Ex in the form of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, then you might also be disappointed to learn that the February 2016 launch for the game has been pushed back to August 23, 2016. Only a mere 6 month wait of pure torture. Well, lets not be overly dramatic. Fans of Deus Ex: Human Revoluton might also be satisfied to learn that Eidos Montreal while maintaining their true convictions have decided to make this move at the expense of creating the most impressive Deus Ex experience possible.
Eidos Montreal’s Head of Studio, David Anfossi, revealed the announcement today:
“Our aim is for [Deus Ex: Mankind Divided] to be a worthy successor to Human Revolution, and to improve upon that game in every way possible. I know that expectations are extremely high, and we not only want to meet those expectations, but exceed them.”
We are confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are playing through the game in full, we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move the release of the game to August 23, 2016″ said Anfosi.
Anfossi added. “This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.”
As the follow up title to one of last generations best action/RPG’s, we’re sure Eidos Montreal wants to surpass the standard set by the impressive Deus Ex Human Revolution.
