We are super excited to get more intel on Cyberpunk 2077 for you at E3. Trust that we are hustling to gather as much Cyberpunk 2077 info as possible. For those of you not familiar with this ambitious new RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming from the talented developer over at CD ProjektRED, creators of the Witcher series. While the all-new cinematic trailer for the game was showcased at Microsoft’s presser, we’re most certainly revealing it again below.
Set in the open world metropolis Night City, California, the game features non-English-speaking characters. Players who do not speak the languages can buy translator implants to better comprehend them; depending on the advancement of the implants, the quality of translations will vary, with more expensive implants rendering more accurate translations.”Braindance”, a digital recording device streamed directly into the brain, allows the player character to experience the emotions, brain processes and muscle movements of another person as though they were their own. There will be different endings based on player agency and choice. Originally announced to launch with multiplayer, CD Projekt has since decided to focus on its single-player aspects.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world, narrative-driven role-playing game set in the universe of the classic pen & paper RPG system — Cyberpunk 2020. The game follows the story of V — a hired gun on the rise in Night City, the most violent and dangerous metropolis of the corporate-ruled future. A robust character creator will allow players to choose V’s gender, visual appearance, character class, as well as historical background — all of which may influence the shape of the game.
With dozens of hours of main story arc quests, and many more of additional activities, there’s always something to see and do in Night City. Players will experience all of it entirely through V’s eyes, with an interactive dialogue system that gives them greater narrative agency. Returning in Cyberpunk 2077 is CD PROJEKT RED’s hallmark of choices and consequences. As they make their way through the streets of Night City and its sky-scraping megabuildings, players will face difficult decisions that will ripple through the entire game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Pease stay connect to Game Insider as we will be bringing you more on Cyberpunk 2077 as more updates come in.
